This video has been produced to give you an idea of what it was like on the day of the International Solar-a-thon (Tag der Sonne) in Suhl, Germany.
Here we see how 9 girls and boys from schools in Suhl and 9 girls and boys from Afghanistan, Iraq, Eritrea and Syria build their solar sunflowers. Manual skills and mental focus, as well as a helping hand from friends are what is needed, along with occasional support from the parents. In the end all the children were thrilled with the experience, and as every last one of the flowers rotated thanks to the energy of the sun, all were happy.
